Tchaikovsky: Variations on a Rococo Theme – Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra – Live Concert HD

Propelled by Mozart, Tchaikovsky composed this benevolent piece for cello and ensemble. There are eight minor departure from the first topic. Cellist Pablo Ferrández is soloist close to the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra. Ferrández is known for his enthusiastic play and his adoration for communicating with the crowd: he generally attempts to look at individuals without flinching while at the same time performing. Guide Elim Chan is overcoming the world with her work – in 2014 she won the lofty Donatella Flick LSO Conducting Competition. The show is performed live in the Great Hall of The Concertgebouw.
